ROOT FOR THE HOME TEAM

Wisconsin is accustomed to earning accolades in the sports arena, from the talent of our teams to the dedication of our fans. Take part in the action the next time you visit! Start at the Kohl Center, home to our Wisconsin Badgers men’s basketball team, which made it NCAA Championship game in 2015 and will have you singing “On, Wisconsin” in no time. The Kohl Center is also home to women’s basketball and men’s hockey, and you can purchase tickets online. Another great winter option is catching a Madison Capitols hockey game, which features some of the nation’s finest amateur hockey players all on one rink. Their season runs through April, and games are held at the Alliant Energy Center.

PAMPER YOURSELF

Mix a memorable massage or the perfect pedicure into your Madison getaway—there are many ways to find relaxation in our capital city. Madison’s most tranquil setting may be in the heart of downtown at The Edgewater Spa. This resort is located on Lake Mendota and the spa is rated one of the best in the city by Madison Magazine. Another soothing selection is Sundara Inn and Spa, nestled in a 26-acre forest near the Wisconsin Dells and named one of the best spas in the U.S. by Travel + Leisure. Finally, find relaxation at Indulge Spa—their massages, body treatments and facials are all available for couples too, doubling the tranquility!

MUSIC MASTER

Madison is considered to have one of the best music scenes outside of Nashville, New York City and LA, and the city’s great concentration of shows, local bands and nightlife options will have you ready to rock. Our venues, such as The Orpheum and High Noon Saloon, put on shows every night, from eclectic local bands to national headliners. It’s no wonder Madison is also listed as one of the best places for creative people to live! Most are located downtown, where you can grab a bite to eat beforehand, or have a drink after the show.
