The Dairyland Games are the first and only regional event in Wisconsin allowing athletes with physical and visual disabilities to qualify for the Adaptive Sports USA Junior Nationals. The games were originally created to provide an opportunity for local Wisconsin athletes to compete in Junior Nationals when it came to Middleton in 2016, but the ultimate goal is to increase awareness and availability of adaptive sports everywhere.
Although only in it's second year, the games will be expanding significantly in 2017. The first games took place on just one day and only included track and field. The 2017 games will expand to fill an entire weekend and will include 2 new sports: swimming and archery! In addition to these 2 new sports, we will be providing an "adult open" heat for all events so athletes ages 23 and older can join us this year as well! Athletes from all over the Midwest are expected to attend and anyone, no matter their experience level or where they live, are welcome to compete!
