Grab your tennies for the UW-Madison Agricultural Campus Historic Architecture Walking Tour. On Saturday, October 1 there will be timed tours every half hour from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.
While on this 90-minute Madison Trust for Historic Preservation walking tour you’ll view architectural gems, including the National Historical Landmark Dairy Barn, Agricultural Hall, the Dean’s House, Hiram Smith Hall and the “Cowlesium,” and learn about trailblazing scientific discoveries made on the campus that have resulted in improved animal and human nutrition, plant genetics and life-saving drugs. Most of the buildings included on the tour were built between 1890 and 1917.
