5th Annual Lights on The Lake Boat Parade

Photo Credit: Robert Wydra. Leading the parade will be Lake Mendota’s Grand Mariner, with a beautiful flotilla of dazzling parade boats following. The grand finale boat, The Betty Lou, will feature our University of Wisconsin Alumni Band pumping up the crowd. By evening’s end, you’ll experience spectacular locally crafted and eco-friendly fireworks from Spectrum Pyrotechnics’ anchored barges between The Edgewater Hotel and Picnic Point. Prime Viewing Areas: Maple Bluff Beach (Big Band/Crooner Hits by Mitch Henck of WIBA AM), Burrows Park (Classic Rock by 101.5 FM), Tenney Park (Country Hits by Star Country 96.3 FM), James Madison Park (Today’s Hits by Z104 FM), Edgewater Hotel (Currently closed – expected to reopen by our 2014 event.), UW Memorial Union Terrace (Ben Ferris and Friends, local jazz musicians).
