Accent lighting is a component of landscape design that is sometimes regarded as an unnecessary luxury. However, with the proper application approach, it can actually be an asset to your design. Accent lighting not only enhances the aesthetic aspect, it can also help promote the safety and welfare of every project. Join Drew W. Tedford from FXLuminaire and Joel Reinders from Reinders, Inc. for an awe-inspiring presentation and night walk through the illuminated outdoor gardens. They will discuss garden lighting design and mechanics for residential owners. You will learn about the main components of low-voltage systems, the basics and cost comparison of energy-efficient lighting systems, the difference between professional lighting components and do-it-yourself kits, and creative, yet functional, design concepts. Class will occur indoors and outdoors; dress for the weather. Limited space; register early. This class satisfies CEU requirements for both ASLA and AIA. Thursday, October 17, 6:30-8 pm Registration Deadline: October 10 Cost: $15/$12 member | Course Number: 11-35
