There are more than 60 ethnic groups in Wisconsin that trace their origin to several immigration waves since the formation of our state in the 1840s. Some groups have been increasing in size while others have recorded a significant decline of their numbers. Kazimierz J. Zaniewski, geographer and co-author of the "Atlas of Ethnic Diversity in Wisconsin," will discuss immigration history and distribution of various ethnic and racial groups in our state. A book signing will follow the talk.
