"An extraordinary exhibition of musicianship, technical control and good taste which lent the music a freshness, immediacy and conviction one all too seldom encounters." - The Times (London) French pianist Philippe Bianconi is one of those artists with whom John DeMain and the MSO have cultivated a close relationship, coming together again and again to explore the joy and intimacy of making and sharing music. This time he brings us one of Brahms’ most powerful works. John DeMain and the MSO also perform Britten's popular Variations and Fugue on a Theme of Purcell (known as The Young Person's Guide to the Orchestra when a narrator is used) and Deubssy's mystical La Mer.
