Following the true spirit of chamber music, pianists Jeri-Mae Astolfi and Holly Roadfeldt created duoARtia with the desire of introducing audiences to the sonic wonders of contemporary music. Individually, Astolfi and Roadfeldt have promoted the works of 20th and 21st century composers for over two decades. The program will include stylistically diverse music for two pianos from the 20th and 21st Century by Bela Bartok, Witold Lutoslawski, UW-Madison composer Joseph Koykkar, James Leatherbarrow, Ed Martin, Kirk O'Riordan, Rob Paterson, Jamie Wilding and Yehuda Yannay.
Astolfi is currently a member of the music faculty at the University of Wisconsin- Oshkosh, and Roadfeldt is currently teaching at Lafayette College, has a private studio in New York City and serves as piano faculty with distinction at The Music School of Delaware.
