Syttende Mai Oh My

Stoughton’s Norwegian heritage will be on full display honoring Syttende Mai May 13-15. Norwegian for “Seventeenth of May,” the 64th annual festival celebrates all things Norwegian. Watch the Viking Games Strongman competition or get your own blood pumping in the Syttende Mai Classic Run/Walk. Tired yet? Take a break with their Festive Feast food stands serving Norwegian lefse, krumkake and other tasty items. Don’t forget to take some of the festival home with you. Visit over 70 vendors at their Arts and Crafts Fair. Add the rich cultural performances, and you’ll see why organizers call Stoughton’s Syttende Mai the largest festival outside of Norway!
