Snapshot Day is a fun, statewide, one-morning event connecting volunteers, water lovers, and local conservation groups in a search for aquatic invasive species (AIS). You can help protect Wisconsin’s rivers, lakes, and wetlands from these invasive plants and animals that may negatively impact habitat, wildlife, recreation and health. Basic training is provided by an expert at our Warner Park base, then small groups of volunteers fan out to pre-selected nearby sites to collect samples for identification by the expert.

This event is coordinated in partnership with UW–Madison Division of Extension, Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources, Friends of Cherokee Marsh, Wild Warner, other local partners, and YOU!
