In this introductory week-long summer day camp students will be introduced to basic elements of architecture and design as they experience the architecture of Frank Lloyd Wright first-hand. In an interactive tour of Taliesin’s main buildings and natural landscapes, students will explore Wright’s principles of design and how he used nature as inspiration.
This camp will introduce students in a playful way to basic elements of art and design. Throughout the week, students will engage in different hands-on design projects and experiment with texture, line, shape, space, form, materials, color, etc. using Wright’s architecture and nature as textbook and source of inspiration. Students will apply their knowledge in their own designs.
No prerequisites necessary. Lunch, tour of the estate, and materials included.
