Sign a child up for a lifelong love of reading by signing them up for a free 20-minute reading session with a Book Buddy, a registered therapy dog!
Every second Saturday of the month, the Book Buddies reading program happens at City Dog Vet Clinic between 9:30 and 11:25 a.m.The Book Buddies are all ears - and enjoy good company and books! The reading sessions allow one child at a time to read to one dog in a safe and supportive environment. Children can go at their own pace in sharing books with the dogs, repeating passages if they need to, while they build fluency in reading. Bring a favorite book – or choose a new favorite from an available selection of books.
