Having access to high quality, relevant books which reflect children’s unique identities can make the difference for a child learning to read this school year. Book donation bins will be located in the Macy’s Atrium from November 15th-December 15th.

Your book donations will help Madison Reading Project reach their goal to provide thousands of kids with books to enjoy over Winter Break and beyond.

Ways to get involved:

    • Do you have books at home that you no longer need?  We’ll take your new and like new children’s books for ages birth to 18 at our Donation Stations located in the Macy’s Atrium.
    • We strive to provide kids with high quality books with fun and engaging content that is relevant and reflective of their cultural and linguistic diversity.  In order to provide kids with the best possible book experience we have created the guidelines below.
      We gratefully accept:
      • Appropriate and relevant content, which means:
        • No harmful stereotypes in text or illustrations
        • No  books with religious or religious holiday themes
        • Newer than 10 years
      • Titles (new or like new) from our Wish Lists
    • MRP is able to source books at a low prices that help your donation reach more kids.  Making a financial contribution allows them to purchase the books kinds need at a great price!  For just $25 you can provide a child with over 5 new books to build their home library.
