OVERVIEW
Curd Fest returns to Breese Stevens Field.
Only ten short years ago, we began the process of establishing a long-overdue homage to those delectable, moist pieces of curdled milk: the infamous and incomparable Cheese Curd. Wisconsin's first annual celebration of its most iconic appetizer was born on the Northside of Madison, at Warner Park. We are proud to say that the legend lives on and announce the return of Curd Fest to Historic Breese Stevens Field. Wisconsin's Original Festival of Curds is fun for the whole family, so please join us in appreciating and celebrating the squeaky, savory, gooey glory of those delectable baby cheddar bites!
Curd Fest is free for all from 3PM - 6PM (CST) on August 13th, 2023 and features a wide variety of interpretations on those magnificent morsels of fried and fresh cheese curds! For those overly-enthusiastic Curd Fest fans, we are introducing a limited pre-fest access ticket, complete with a commemorative Curd Fest 10th Anniversary hat, to thwart the power of the curd-colored sun, and an extra hour of enjoyment with early entry to the fest, from 2PM - 3PM (CST).
Free family entertainment to include: yard games, balloon twisting, henna, face painting, curd eating contest(s), and two cheese-focused demos: a live, continuous cheese carving demonstration and sampling featuring Madison’s own Sarah Kauffman a.k.a. “The Cheese Lady” and “The Life of Cheese”, cheese making demonstration with multiple-time “Best Fresh Curd” winner Farmer John Dougherty. -
