The Dairyland Games are the first and only regional event in Wisconsin allowing athletes with physical and visual disabilities to qualify for the Adaptive Sports USA Junior Nationals. The games were originally created to provide an opportunity for local Wisconsin athletes to compete in Junior Nationals when it came to Middleton in 2016 and 2017, but the ultimate goal is to increase awareness and availability of adaptive sports everywhere for everyone, including adults and VA athletes who have hopes of competing at Paranationals.
Entering it's fourth year, the games will see even more inprovements and opportunities for people of all ability levels. Current events include swimming, archery and track and field. There will also be scheduled exhibitions throughout the weekend that will be announced soon. Past sport demonstrations have included wheelchair basketball and taekwondo!
Athletes from all over the Midwest are expected to attend and anyone, no matter their experience level or where they live, are welcome to compete!
