Experience the wonders of nature at Capital Springs Recreation Area!
Indoors at 10:30 a.m., meet Hoo's Woods Raptor Center live birds: a Snowy Owl, an immature Bald Eagle named “Victory”, Screech Owls and others. Learn about their behaviors and natural habitats.
After the program, enjoy an outdoor bonfire and winter hike led by the Friends of Capital Springs Recreation Area's naturalist, weather and trail conditions permitting.
No dogs please. This is a free event sponsored by and in partnership with the Friends of Capital Springs Recreation Area, the Lussier Family Heritage Center, Dane County Parks, Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources, and Madison Metropolitan Sewerage District.
