Frank Lloyd Wright's Meeting House Tours
For Frank Lloyd Wright enthusiasts, or simply the merely curious, a tour of the Unitarian Meeting House while in Madison is a requirement. This church is a National Historic Landmark and one of Wright's 17 most important buildings, according to the American Institute of Architects. Every religious structure with a soaring roof built since 1950 was impacted by this church's design and construction.
All tours require advanced reservations. The tour season begins May 1 and runs through Oct., and are offered daily (except Saturdays and holidays). Sunday tours between church services take place at 10:10 and are available year-round, also by advanced reservation. May, Sept. and Oct one tour a day at 10:00 is offered; June through Aug tours are available at 10:00 and 2:30. Masks are required and tour group size is currently limited to 9 visitors per tour.
