The interplay of words and images has a long tradition in the history of art. Fred Stonehouse will discuss a selection of works in Art/Word/Image, including his painting, Kilroy-Coq-à-l’Âne, (1999), in which imagery and text each play a role in conveying meaning.
Fred Stonehouse is an artist and professor in the UW-Madison Art Department where he teaches advanced drawing and painting.
