Wisconsin is home to more Native American earthworks than any other place in the U.S. Wisconsin Historical Society archaeologist Amy Rosebrough will present an overview of the monumental earthen creations of Wisconsin and the Midwest, from burial mounds to ceremonial geometric earthen enclosures. New technologies are expanding our understanding of these structures, giving us new and elevated perspectives of Wisconsin’s ancient monuments.
