Kids on the Prairie: Butterflies and Bugs

Kids on the Prairie explorations are for children and their adult family members. They are open to members of Holy Wisdom communities and the public. As we strive for awareness of the delicate balance that allows diverse forms of life to exist, we will learn about our role as humans who care for the earth.

August 10 - Butterflies and Bugs. Get up close to insects on flowers. Look for monarchs and other insects. Find out what they are doing on different common plants.

Meet at the kiosk in the upper parking lot of Holy Wisdom Monastery. Plan on walking and exploring the nature trails. Dress for the weather. Our grounds are alive in song, insects and spring flowers. Long-pants with socks, closed shoes and hats are recommended. Bring water and snacks if you need them.
