Matt DeBlass is a folk musician and multi-instrumentalist from Madison who specializes in traditional Celtic songs.
Lately Matt has been working on a collection of tragic ballads from the 1800s which he's referring to as "The Dead Lovers Project." As Matt says, "These old songs about over-the-top tragedies, adultery and murder are the reality TV and True Crime dramas of their day. They're a lot of fun and kind of show us how people a couple hundred years ago really weren't all that different from we are now."
The show will begin with a solo performance of songs and tunes on Celtic Harp by Matt, and then he'll switch to mandolin and be joined by several of Bos Meadery's favorite performers on bass, guitar and piano for the rest of the evening.
