A free event, promoting a healthy, active lifestyle
Join your neighbors at one of four 2021 Ride the Drive locations.
The Ride the Drive tradition continues, in your neighborhood. With a pause in 2020, this year’s Ride the Drive has a creative spin and will look a little different than the typical downtown event. As a COVID safety precaution, we’ve made several significant adjustments. To help disperse participation and to better control crowds, this year’s Ride the Drive offers four simultaneous neighborhood events with limited park activities.
We invite you to join your neighbors at one of four Ride the Drive routes anytime between 9am and 1pm on Sunday, June 6. Each of the 2-mile or less routes loops around a park.
Maps for each of the routes are attached and include the following parks:
- Kennedy Park, 5202 Rentana Drive
- Marlborough Park, 2222 Whenona Drive
- Warner Park, 2930 N. Sherman Avenue
- Wingra Park, 824 Knickerbocker Street
Do you live on or near a route or in the neighborhood? Volunteer for a shift, and you'll receive a Ride the Drive t-shirt and still have time to enjoy the event! We have 580 volunteer shifts to fill throughout the four events. Positions include setup, cleanup, info booth, bike ambassadors and intersection guides.
A limited number of food vendors will be considered at each of the four parks, plus Heritage Heights park.
