This year the event is November 19, 2022 – January 9, 2023. This year's event is Sponsored by Don's Home Furniture.
NEW IN 2022 – Efforts continue to create a vibrant celebration of community. The BID, with support from community sponsors, has added two NEW cultural displays with the intention to continue to grow this effort over the next several years. Visitors can now view a Menorah in celebration of Hanukkah (12/18/22 - 12/26/22) and a Kinara in honor of Kwanzaa (12/26/22 - 1/1/23) where E. Washington Ave. meets the Capitol Square. Both displays will be up 11/19 - 1/29/23.
Also in 2022, additional decorations have been added to the 100 block of State Street. These decorations along the 100 block represent a variety of options to consider for the future. Check out the newly updated snowflakes high on the poles, the garland wrapped pedestrian poles and all the different lights! Community feedback is welcome at firstname.lastname@example.org.
This year the BID has partnered to present a tour of 15 Community Planters. These planters have been “adopted” by local non-profit organizations and are scattered throughout the downtown. These organizations will add special decorations and share information about the work they do. The displays will be turned on at 6:08pm on November 19, 2022 and stay up through January 9, 2023.SPECIAL DISPLAY LOCATIONSLocation map here: https://bit.ly/22shineon
