Join the Lussier Family Heritage Center for the 2019 Sustainability Series. Come inside the Center and warm-up with us this winter as we learn about sustainability in our community.
January 26th: Learn about Sustainable Gardens & Landscapes with guest speaker Susan Carpenter, the native plant gardener at the UW-Madison Arboretum.
Susan works with students and many community volunteers to maintain and monitor a 4-acre demonstration garden representing the plant communities of southern Wisconsin. She also leads a pollinator conservation project that involves students and the public in documenting and studying native bumble bees, including the endangered rusty-patched bumble bee, Bombus affinis, which lives at the Arboretum and perhaps in your garden.
This is a free event. Coffee will be provided by JUST Coffee Cooperative.
