The Art of Holiday Hosting: A Cento x Fromagination Collaboration

Enjoy a comprehensive holiday event hosted by Sophia Georges, wine steward at Cento, and Marilyn Olk, cheesemonger at Fromagination, for the first-ever collaboration between two downtown Madison food-and-wine enthusiasts. Snack on favorite Cento comfort foods while Sophia and Marilyn walk you through their holiday hosting favorites, from crowd-pleasing options for sparkling wine to decadent cheeses at home on any holiday charcuterie board. Learn about fun wine pairings with the featured cheeses as well as classic holiday dishes, and come away with the perfect plan for your holiday gathering!

The food will be served family-style by Chef Edwin Ramirez to encourage a relaxed and communal holiday atmosphere, including Bacon-Wrapped Dates, Smoked Tomato Arancini, and Classic Meatballs. Wines will include Cremant de Bourgogne, Mosel Riesling, Sonoma Pinot Noir, and Chianti Classico--all versatile selections that would be at home with all kinds of holiday dishes. Finally, Marilyn Olk will present three incredibly special and delicious Wisconsin cheeses all crafted by Master Cheesemakers: Uplands Cheese Pleasant Ridge Reserve, Hook’s 5 Year-Aged Cheddar, and Meister Morel and Leek Jack. Cento’s bar manager Kevin Phillips will also prepare the perfect batchable holiday cocktail, to sample at the event and to prepare at home for your own festive gatherings!

Tickets include one of each of the featured appetizers, generous portions of three featured cheeses, 3 oz. pours of four featured wines, a portion of Cento’s batchable holiday cocktail, AND a Holiday Hosting gift bag to take home. A gratuity of 20% will also be added to the ticket preorder.
