Tour the Frank Lloyd Wright-designed Unitarian Meeting House, a mid-century Usonian building which is home to Madison’s First Unitarian Society (FUS).
Learn about the building's architectural design and its significance in the development of church architecture in the US. Volunteer tour guides also will explain Wright’s personal connections as a member of the the First Unitarian Society and relate stories of Wright’s involvement in the construction process.
Then tour the award-winning addition, completed in 2008—a modern, LEED-certified building which pays homage to Wright’s design aesthetic. Tours are approximately one hour.
If you have not booked in advance, calling ahead (608-233-9774) is recommended to ensure a tour guide is available and the building is not in use for private events.
