According to the American Institute of Architects, Madison boasts 2 of Frank Lloyd Wright's 17 most influential and culturally-significant buildings. The First Unitarian Society's Unitarian Meeting House, a National Historic Landmark, is one of them, and the only one generally open to the public.
The church will be open for public tours by advanced reservations only on weekdays starting Sept. 13th - through Oct. 1 at 10:00am. These tours start at the Reception Desk inside the Landmark Entrance on the far right side of the campus.
Tours after the 9:00 Sunday service will again be available year round starting Sept. 19th and commence inside at the front of the Atrium Auditorium by the picture windows on the far left side of the campus.
Because of its COVID restrictions, visitor access to the buildings is restricted at all other times, though casual tourists are welcome to explore the outside so long as they are masked. In addition to purchasing tickets at least two hours in advance, all visitors must be masked and practice social distancing.
Only 9 visitors are currently allowed on a tour, so purchasing your tickets well in advance is recommended.
