Training, Prehab, and Rehabilitation for Climbers
Join Dr. Mal James (she/her) from Outdoor Women's Wellness to learn about the foundation of training for climbing and how to prevent and/or rehabilitate from overuse injuries. We will dive deep into the most common upper-body injuries and the anatomy involved.
We will cover injury prevention, recovery phases, and how to return to full performance. This course aims to better understand how to appropriately load our bodies to improve muscle strength and maintain muscle, tendon, and joint health.
The 90-minute course will spend some time in a classroom setting, then in the climbing gym or workout room, working your way through an awesome program you can adapt to your own routine to help you climb at your best. Dr. Mal recommends wearing workout gear but you don’t need to bring your climbing gear along! For non-members, enjoy a two-week trial membership to keep working on what you learned!
Class is limited to 15 participants.
