UIU Wisconsin Biafra Remembrance Day 2026

Join UIU Wisconsin as we gather, reflect, and listen to stories shaped by the lived experiences of women who survived the Biafran/Nigerian Civil War (1967-1970). This year's Biafra Remembrance Day, *Through Women's Eyes and Experiences*, centers the voices that have long been suppressed, creating space for intergenerational dialogue, healing, and connection.

Through storytelling and community conversation, this free public event honors the more than three million Biafrans who perished, and the women who carried their communities through unimaginable loss.
