Women-Identifying Open Studio Nights

111. S. Livingston St. Suite 100
Madison, WI 53703
OVERVIEW

Do you find yourself longing for the days of gathering in the name of creativity with women of all ages? Chatting over needlepoint and tea might seem like a thing of the past, but what if we told you that there is a space where you can join other women for a weekly meeting of creativity and community.

We will be opening our Education studio on Tuesday nights Oct 8 - Nov 19 from 6:30 to 8:00 PM to women and female-identifying community members to join us for an hour and a half of conversation and artmaking. Art + Lit Lab will provide a few supplies that will vary each week and will be specified in the email you receive prior to our meeting each week. We encourage you to bring your own supplies/projects as well.

Our goal for this project is to eliminate barriers for attendance and as such we will have a small registration fee each week and a donation space at the doors for those who’d like to give more to this project. You’re welcome to come and go any time during our meeting. Feel free to bring knitting projects, a computer/paper for writing, your sketchbook, or anything else that might pique your interest. We also encourage you to bring snacks for yourself or to share, and we will provide the tea and coffee. We can’t wait to see you for some cozy evenings of creation.

There will be separate Destination Madison listings for each of our 7 weeks of Fall open studios as registration links will be different each week to ensure that many people can participate throughout the weeks. You can go to this link https://artlitlab.org/programs/adult-arts-education to see the listings all in one place.
