The arrival of autumn brings bright leaves, crisp air and a cornucopia of things to do in Madison. Go for a hayride at Enchanted Valley Acres, race down the 200-foot tall Giant Slippery Slide and enjoy a variety of farm activities and games. Craving something scary? A terrifying Haunted Forest awaits at Schuster's Playtime Farm, while eight acres of corn maze and 14 acres of pumpkins are sure to delight the kids. Enjoy the final weeks of the outdoor Dane County Farmers' Market, with a loaf of Stella's spicy cheese bread, and seasonal favorites like apples and squash for cooking at home.

Active Living

With cooler temps in the air and the leaves changing to all sorts of beautiful colors, fall is the perfect time to get outdoors and explore Madison. Take in impressive views from these iconic spots, head out on some of our favorite running routes or rent a bike and take one more loop around the lake. Rather spectate than participate? Don your best Badger red and grab tickets to a Wisconsin football or volleyball game.
