Bucky on Parade

Bucky on Parade is a free public art event that will bring 85 life-size Bucky Badger statues to the streets of Madison and Dane County May 7–September 12, 2018. Local and regional artists will transform these Bucky statues into unique works of art.

In fall 2017, the Bucky statues were created out of fiberglass at FAST Corporation in Sparta, Wisconsin.

Once completed, they arrived by the truckload to Madison College to await their artists.

Local and regional artists are currently working hard to transform the statues into pieces of art. Designs include: Frank Lloyd Wright-inspired Bucky, Superhero Bucky, Picasso Bucky and Coach Bucky.

One special statue, Golden Bucky, is making appearances around the Greater Madison area and will continue to be on the move during the Parade.

On September 29, celebrate with us at the Bucky on Parade Finale Party, where Bucky statues will be auctioned off for a good cause!

The Madison Area Sports Commission is the producer of the event, with support from the Greater Madison Convention & Visitors Bureau and in partnership with the University of Wisconsin-Madison, University of Wisconsin Athletics and Wisconsin Foundation & Alumni Association. Event proceeds will support Garding Against Cancer, Madison Area Sports Commission and other community charities.
