Madison’s energy on Badgers game day? It’s contagious. Join in the fun and festivities by tailgating or spectating at these local favorites (whether or not you have tickets to the game).

Union South

Performances by the UW-Madison Marching Band and Spirit Squad mean that Union South's Badger Bash packs the excitement on game day. Post-party, catch the game on the big screen indoors at the Sett.

Memorial Union

If the weather's nice, lounge lakeside at the Terrace. Football games are played outdoors on a big screen, and indoors at Der Rathskeller and Stiftskeller.

Great Dane Pub & Brewing Company

Choose your favorite of the four Madison-area Great Dane locations (all offer free shuttles to Camp Randall Stadium) and work your way through the pub menu. Try the new Home & Away Lager while you're there.

The Edgewater

Grab brunch in the Statehouse, drinks in the Boathouse and a free shuttle for those staying at the hotel ($12 for others). Plus, there's tons of space to relax on the plaza along Lake Mendota.

HotelRED

For home games, HotelRED's indoor/outdoor pre-party is the place to be. Watch the game indoors at the Wise – you'll be able to hear cheering from the stadium across the street.

Nitty Gritty

With 13 burgers on the menu, pub snacks and free drinks on your birthday, it's always a party at the Nitty Gritty. Head downtown to be closest to the game day action, or enjoy a more relaxing environment at the Middleton or Sun Prairie spots.
