OVERVIEW
The Madison Community Chorus and Maestro Community Orchestra, under the direction of Dr. Mark Bloedow with Mitchell Patton, accompanist, will present a Fall Concert at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 1021 Spaight Street, Madison, on Saturday, November 22, at 3:00pm.
Featured will be choral and orchestral selections, as well as an audience invitation to sing along on the well known Dona Nobis Pacem. Choral highlights include How Can I Keep from Singing arranged by Karen Thomas, a setting of No More, My Lord, a spiritual arranged for the chorus by local composer and chorus member Ty Kroll, Where You Bare Foot Walks by David Childs, and Dan Forrest's energetic Cantate Canticum Novum. Orchestra highlights include the first movement from Symphony No. 36 (The Linz) by W. A. Mozart, Sibelius' beloved Finlandia, and Gravitas, a dramatic orchestral piece by Soon Hee Newbold.
