OVERVIEW
Come join us for a special screening of FEBRUARY at the Cinematheque at UW-Madison! Followed by a Q&A with the writer/director Nathan Deming led by Wisconsin Film Festival programmer/director Ben Reiser.
ABOUT THE FILM...
FEBRUARY is a film written and directed by Nathan Deming, a WI filmmaker, as a part of the "Year Project" - a 12 part film series based on the months of the year and all set in Wisconsin. Each story is its own standalone piece.
In FEBRUARY, Miguel (David Duran) is a recent immigrant to a small Wisconsin town and struggling to fit in. His sister (Nayeli Hernandez) is worried about him, her husband (Erick Inestroza) less so - until a strange man (Ritchie Gordon) offers to take Miguel ice fishing.
Winner of the 2024 GOLDEN BADGER AWARD and the AUDIENCE CHOICE AWARD at the Wisconsin Film Festival and "People's Choice" Award at the 2025 Door County Film Festival.
"FEBRUARY feels like a soundless snowfall... every frame bathed in the quiet, relentless pulse of winter." - Asbah Shah, Shepherd Express
