OVERVIEW

The Madison Community Chorus and Maestro Community Orchestra, under the direction of Dr. Mark Bloedow, will present their annuel Spring Concert, "Earth Day - Sing Unto the Sky,".

Choral highlights will include "A Song of Blue" (Bob Chilcott), "Exsultate justi in Domino" (Brant Adams), and Haydn's joyful "Awake the Harp" from "The Creation". Featured will be "Sing Unto the Sky" by Karen Morrolli. Also, Laura Farnell's "You Are My Music" (sopranos & altos) and the Josh Groban favorite "Thankful" (tenors and basses). Orchestral highlights will include the well-known "Waltz" from Tchaikovsky's "Sleeping Beauty" ballet, the first movement from Mozart's lively "Jupiter Symphony", and the LeRoy Anderson favorite, "The Syncopated Clock." Featured will be Soon Hee Newbold's stunning "Alpha and Omega." The chorus and orchestra will combine for "You'll Never Walk Alone" and the iconic "What a Wonderful World," both performed with the audience as a sing-a-long.

A festive spring-themed reception will follow the concert in the lower-level Lakeview Room at Immanuel, all are welcome! Free parking is available in the church parking lots (adjacent to the church and across the street, including the Wilmar parking area) and the building is fully accessible.
