Blue Mounds Wildlife Area

The 107-acre Blue Mounds Wildlife Area is a public hunting area located immediately north of Brigham County Park. It can be accessed from a small parking lot that is located on the north side of County Highway F. The southern third of the property is restored prairie and the norther portion is hardwood forest with steep terrain. Turkey and deer are the primary hunting opportunities. Special hunting regulations: Trapping is not allowed on the southernmost portion of the property as depicted on the map. Trapping was prohibited on these lands by Dane County Board Action. Lands are not required by the State to be open to hunting or trapping.
