OVERVIEW
Door Creek Park is approximately a 160-acre park, located east of the interstate, between Milwaukee Street and County Highway BB (Cottage Grove Road) in the Door Creek Neighborhood. This large community park has been in the planning and acquisition stage since 1990. The Master Plan calls for this park to include both active and passive recreation typical for Madison's large parks. The roughly one-mile trail is groomed as weather permits in the winter season for cross-country skiing. Snowshoeing is allowed anywhere with good snow coverage in this park, except on the groomed cross-country ski trail.
