1752 State Highway 69
Verona, WI 53593
OVERVIEW

The 379-acre Falk Wells Sugar River Wildlife Area is a public hunting area named after two long-time conservation champions, former Dane County Executive Kathleen Falk and Dane County Chief of Staff Topf Wells. More than 3 miles of continuous public frontage of the Sugar River meanders through the property, with excellent trout fishing opportunities. Other recreational opportunities include hunting, trapping, foraging, and wildlife observation. Trout Unlimited and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service continue to work on stream and habitat restoration projects. Three parking lots and carry in canoe/kayak access landings are located on STH 69, Sunset Drive, and Paoli Road.
