Stone Bridge Park

Winnequah Road, Monona, WI 53716
OVERVIEW

This park, home of the Lake Monona Sailing Club, is located just west of the intersection of Winnequah Road and Parkway. A swath of green bisected by a rocky ditch, Stone Bridge Park is shaded by mature ash and willow trees. The park is lighted at night, and features a dock and sailboat hoist provided by the Sailing Club. About 20 boats are kept at the park during the summer. Stone Bridge Park has an amphitheater-like quality. The land descends to the waterfront, which provides outstanding views of Madison's Isthmus. A historic stone pagoda in the southwest corner of the park is picturesque, if in need of repairs.
