The DSAW-SC 25th Annual Golf Outing on July 10, 2026 brings together business leaders, families, and community members for a memorable day of golf and giving. With 225 participants and 40+ volunteers, this event provides outstanding visibility for sponsors while making a real difference locally. This outing raises critical funds that help individuals with Down syndrome and other intellectual/developmental disabilities learn, work, build relationships, and thrive in their communities. When you sponsor, you’re not just attaching your name to an event — you’re investing in people.
Our mission is to empower individuals with Down syndrome and other intellectual and developmental disabilities to live full, meaningful, and self-directed lives. We do this through life-skills programming, social opportunities, employment readiness, advocacy, and family support.
Programs focus on developing functional skills important for independence, including:
- household management (cooking, cleaning, laundry)
- social and communication skills
- vocational and workplace readiness
- transportation and community navigation
- health and wellness habits
- safety and decision-making
- self-care and daily living skills
- recreation, leisure, and friendship building
