CAPITAL BREWERY

Open April through October, Capital’s Bier Garten is known affectionately as Middleton’s Backyard. With long rows of picnic tables and an outdoor bar, it can accommodate up to 1,200 people. Catch live music on the outdoor stage multiple times a week.

GREAT DANE PUB & BREWING CO. DOWNTOWN

Tucked behind the downtown Dane lies Madison’s secret beer garden. Covered in green ivy, the charming brick courtyard sets the mood for a romantic night. Heading off the isthmus? Locations in Fitchburg and Hilldale also sport outdoor spaces, with giant chairs that are a great photo opp.

LONE GIRL BREWING COMPANY

With charming string lights and a cozy fire pit, Lone Girl’s rooftop offers an outdoor oasis in the heart of downtown Waunakee. A smaller patio is also tucked alongside the building and is great for a quick meal.

NEW GLARUS BREWING COMPANY

The hillside, multi-level courtyard provides serene countryside views, which is the perfect backdrop to enjoy New Glarus Brewing Company's only-in-Wisconsin brews.

Starkweather Brewing Company is a community-focused gathering place and a welcoming destination for all to explore a dynamic, evolving menu of uniquely crafted beer and excellent pub food.

VINTAGE BREWING CO. SAUK PRAIRIE

With the 2019 addition of a beer garden, Vintage has two outdoor spaces overlooking the beautiful Wisconsin River. Relax in the dog-friendly beer garden, or sit down for a meal in the wrap-around upper patio.

WISCONSIN BREWING COMPANY

Pups are welcome most days at WBC’s Backyard. The large green space has plenty of room for picnicking and yard games, and hosts live music on the weekends. Our favorite seat? The Wisconsin-shaped Adirondack chairs!
