American football has run deep through Wisconsin’s veins for decades, but here in Madison, another type of football really gets our blood pumping. Soccer is one of the top sports in these parts, with Forward Madison FC capturing our hearts for the past seven years and gathering us as “The Flock” of fans who love this professional team and its accompanying flamingo mascot.  

But now, Breese Stevens Field is also the headquarters to a new and exciting team that has joined Madison’s soccer ranks. It’s Rally Madison FC, Madison's first USL W League women's soccer team that just started its inaugural season. And it’s pretty special since it’s the first women’s sports franchise to call Breese their home.  

So far, much like Forward Madison games, the fan atmosphere has been excited and jubilant for this new team, and we’d love to show you how to make a whole game day out of it.

Pre-Game 

Breese Stevens Field is found along the East Washington corridor just minutes from the Wisconsin State Capitol. The area is brimming with dozens of restaurants, bars, coffee shops, hotels and more that’ll help you make the most of your Rally Madison experience. And there’s a bonus—Breese Stevens dedicated parking lots are spread out across the area making it easy to park, then explore. Accessible parking is available on the 900 Block of East Washington Avenue. 

Pre-game hot spots within walking distance: 

To venture beyond the East Washington area, Breese Stevens is within walking distance of the famous Williamson Street neighborhood, which is equally packed with food and drink options as well as charming shops. Make a weekend out of it with a stay at the nearby oh-so chic, one-time paint factory Hotel Indigo or the trendy, rock star-themed Moxy Hotel that’s conveniently located across the street from Breese Stevens.

Picking which section to buy your ticket in is a bigger decision than you might think! Don’t worry, we’re here to help—and, honestly, there isn’t a bad seat in the house.

The Rose Guard End 

Named after Rally’s already-established fan group, expect plenty of good energy in this section that enthusiastically supports their team. 

Michelob Ultra Beer Garden 

For a laid-back, lounge-like feel, look no further than this outdoor beer garden. 

Baer Balcony Rooftop - General Admission 

See all the Rally action from this elevated rooftop experience. Your ticket includes three craft beers, local wines or seltzers and an unlimited stadium classics food menu. 

Covered Corner 

Want to stay out of the elements? This spot a little further from the field is a great section to stay somewhat indoors—and be close to the biergarten. 

Skyline  

You’ll get a top-tier view of the field from these seats! 

101 – 113 sections  

Stadium-style bleacher seating with great views of the field. Recommended for families or new fans who aren't quite ready to dive into The Rose Guard End ... yet. 

Lexus Lounge 

Reserved six-top table seating with convenient access to unlimited food and beverages until the 60th minute of the match. 

 

The Rose Guard End 

This fan section is called “The Flock” during Forward games. During Rally matches, it switches to this title that’s named especially for this team. Organizers went with “The Rose Guard End” since the rose symbolizes things like hope, unity and triumph, making it the perfect symbol for this team and its supporters. Expect fun, team-supporting traditions like chants, drum sequences, graphics and flags, along with lots of good vibes.  

 

Food + Drink 

Rally games will feature plenty of Breese Stevens food and drink mainstays and new offerings alike, such as booths with Shrimp Tacos, Nashville Hot Chicken Sausage, Chili Relleno and Salmon Patties. But also look for new food items added to the menu exclusively for Rally matches—Dave Sramek, the owner of local favorite Gooseberry on the Square, has taken over as the head of Food & Beverage. He’s been cooking up plenty of new additions for the stadium menu, which traditionally includes options for a variety of diets, including vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free. 

You can also partake of a host of local drink options to give you a taste of Madison, with offerings from local favorites New Glarus Brewing Company and One Barrel Brewing Company. And don’t forget their newest beverage: Yuengling Beer! 

 

Getting There

Driving and parking your car is just one way to get to the game. Madison is one of the country’s most bikeable cities and, to support that, bike parking is available along the outside of the field and indoor bike valet service is offered at the Mifflin Street entrance. 

If public or shared transportation is more your style, there are six bus stops on East Washington Avenue near Breese. Madison's new and easy to use public transportation option, the Bus Rapid Transit, includes a stop just outside of the stadium! Designated Uber and Lyft pickup/dropoff is located on East Washington Avenue, closest to the intersection at North Patterson Street. 

Pro tip: EV drivers can take advantage of the charging hub located across the street on the corner of East Washington Avenue and Livingston Street.
