Fresh Look: Attractions & Cultural Spaces

Madison’s cultural scene is thriving with new spaces designed to inspire and connect visitors and locals alike:

Madison Public Market
Talks of a year-round indoor public market have swirled around Madison for years, but after some unexpected construction delays in 2025, the talk will turn to action in early 2026. The Madison Public Market is set to open on Madison's near-east side and will be home to dozens of local merchants specializing in food, wellness, art, gifts and more.

The public market will be host to more than shopping and dining. The space will serve as a business incubator and accelerator to help local up-and-coming business owners launch their concepts. Businesses being supported by the incubator and accelerator program will complement a lineup of permanent booths and businesses in the market.

Center for Black Excellence and Culture
Launching in May 2026, this transformative space celebrates Black culture through art, education and community programming. Expect exhibits, performances and events that enrich Madison’s cultural landscape.

Picnic Point Center (Frautschi Center)
